I saw this band live at Sled Island in Calgary last year and fell in love with them. The mind blowing whole body experience of this band made me the only one that was standing up and enjoying the full capacity of what they are. It the kind of music you can stand in the middle of the floor and clothes your eyes and just feel. I got to see them again last Thursday at the Commodore in Vancouver to a very different crowd... a crowd that was very interested in moshing and surfing the crowd.. one guy even did a back flip off the stage which isn't what you would expect at all from this music. The Black LIps followed this act which was a little weird because it was way more high energy but just as good.. but Deerhunter definitely blasted me away.
