HEARTBREAKER/// New MSTRKRFT video

Love the playfulness, colours, and style of this video, nevermind the catchy song.

Seawall bike rides

Seawall Stroll, originally uploaded by bhophoto.

I got on my bike for the first time in 9 months. Living in suburbia and travelling the world hasn't made it easy to ride my bike. The brakes are squeeky, the bars are rustings, but i missed it. The downtown Seawall is as awesome as ever. Plus the new installation of the most awesome benches outside the Olympic Village, makes for a great chill place.

Greek days Vancouver

Downstairs to the volcano, originally uploaded by FrizzText.

If i wasn't working all day i would head down to this event, Greek Days. I have always loved the Greek way of doing things. The family enviroment, the food, and the attitude. Every time i have worked for Greek families i always felt like one of there own. I am guessing this event would feel like this too.

Raindrops by Basement Jaxx

If you haven't heard Basement Jaxx's awesome new comeback-not-comeback single, "Raindrops", now would be a good opportunity to catch up on one of the better recent jams. The tune gets a fittingly psychedelic video, with kaleidoscopic visuals and lots of crazy masks.

Yogurt and Acai from Qoola

Yogurt from Qoola, originally uploaded by palalalapolly.

Acai in the city

I discovered this place upon raves from my friend Kelly and upon returning from America where the Frozen Yoghurt ice cream craze has gone to new levels with Pink Berry and Red Mango. Vancouver has there version and i think it's even better then the American version called Qoola. There is only one location for now and it's on Denmen where the old Cupcakes used to be close to the beach. I was just checking there menu and they even have my favorite food that everyone eats in Brazil Acai with granola and bananas. When i was in Brazil i nearly died because of lack of nutrients in my diet because i didn't eat beef. I basically ate Acai the whole time, and most Brazilian eat this daily as a snack anyways. It is very refreshing and packed full of nutrients and perfect for a hot summer day like today!

hair flip

hair flip, originally uploaded by pisbols.

Nothing like a hair flip to make you feel better.. i just don't have any hair to flip right now though. Love the feeling of this photo.

No Fun City

Vancouver has forever been tagged with the status of No Fun City. Great art spaces, lounges, clubs, and other such venues are consistantly been shut down ever since i have been old enough to go out, and still are to this day. Some very sad moments when this does happen, but another space always seems to show up. I do not understand why this always happens when there is demand for such a space, but someone with the No Fun party hat comes around and shuts it down. Watch a clip of a Documentary being made on this very subject that deals with the failing gentrification of Vancouver, Granville strip, and the Police. But who really is putting a stop to these spaces?
